Old World Soccer Ball Glass Christmas Ornament

Description

Product details

This blown-glass soccer ornament combines traditional vintage decoration with a playful sporting subject. Its detailed appearance makes it a thoughtful Christmas gift for a soccer enthusiast or a distinctive addition to a personal ornament collection.

Artisans mouth-blow the glass into a finely worked mold, add a hot liquid-silver solution, and finish it by hand with bright lacquers and glitter. That traditional process gives the soccer ball its characteristic decorative quality.

Black-and-white sections reproduce the familiar pattern. Beveled edges between pentagons and hexagons create a three-dimensional texture, giving the ornament more realism than a plain sphere with a painted ball pattern. It looks attractive and has the detailed feel of a real soccer ball.

Quality blown glass provides authenticity and lasting appeal. Although glass is delicate, the ornament is intended to remain part of Christmas decorating for many seasons.

At 3.25 inches high, it is large enough to be noticed without dominating surrounding decorations. The convincing shape adds a sporting accent among the branches.

An attached hanging string makes it simple to display on a tree or in another chosen location. Whether for your own love of soccer or for someone else’s, the handcrafted ornament combines fun and thoughtful seasonal gifting.
