Frosted Virginia Pine

Description

European Christmas traditions reached Virginia across the Atlantic more than 400 years ago. Colonists preserved their celebrations while developing new customs, and Virginians still observe the holiday through artisan crafts, worship, and acts of charity.

The Frosted Virginia Pine offers an unusually subtle tree design. Clear lights and glitter-frosted tips emphasize downward-sweeping, alternating branches, creating a calm, sparkling, almost ethereal appearance. Additional trim adds further warmth and illumination to the pre-lit display.

Light glittered frost suggests newly fallen snow. Real pinecones add a distinctive natural detail, and two green tones in the tips enhance realism.

The tree has green pine foliage with a light coating that resembles a dusting of snow. The FAQ notes that pre-lit and unlit options are often available. Detailed needles and varied coloring contribute to its realistic appearance.

For shaping, a short demonstration video accompanies the guidance. Open the branches carefully so the frosted tips, pinecones, and delicate details keep their natural look. Use your hands to open each branch slowly rather than pulling it quickly, protecting the lightly flocked finish.

Begin near the trunk, fanning inner tips before moving outward. This creates depth and fills gaps between the branch layers. Preserve the soft, layered outline by turning the visible tips in slightly different directions and allowing some branches to fall naturally.

The initial setup normally needs the most time. In later seasons, a lighter refresh after storage should restore the tree’s shape. Take time around each delicate accent during the first shaping. Working patiently helps the frosted tips retain their intended finish while the branches open into a full but naturally layered display.
